Alexandra Freire joined DTA in February 2024 and her areas of interest encompass social enterprise, ESG, human rights, fiscal law, and economic criminal law.
Before joining DTA, Alexandra was an intern at the Center for Responsible Business & Leadership at CATÓLICA-Lisbon, a Top 25 FT European Business School. She actively contributed to the research project "Observatory of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Portuguese Companies," focusing on the implementation of the 2030 Agenda in their business strategies. In August 2023, Alexandra ventured to Timor-Leste as a volunteer with MOVE, a Portuguese NGO focusing on entrepreneurship. During her six-month mission, Alexandra provided valuable services, offering free business plan trainings to Timorese entrepreneurs and delivering consulting services to small businesses, fostering financial sustainability.
Alexandra holds a Law Degree (Licenciatura) and a Business Degree (Licenciatura) from Portuguese Catholic University in Porto. In addition to her role as a legal consultant, she shares her knowledge as a guest Professor at Universidade Católica Timorense, teaching Marketing Management.
Alexandra speaks Portuguese and English, and she is currently learning Tetum.
